“New Hope has always been my family’s home away from home,” Maddy says. “We’ve been coming here since I was a child. So bringing Maddy Rose here feels less like an expansion and more like a homecoming, returning to somewhere that already holds so many memories for us.”

Set directly along the Delaware River, Maddy Rose New Hope brings riverside dining to the heart of Bucks County — layered with the energy, warmth, and design-forward sensibility that define the brand.

The story begins in Jersey City.

Maddy Rose was first introduced at Liberty House, by Landmark’s flagship property, which opened in 2001. With sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline, Liberty House became the foundation of what Frank and Jeanne Cretella — Maddy’s parents — would grow into a family-driven hospitality group spanning wedding and event venues, boutique hotels, restaurants, and a private members club across New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

“My parents built this company over two decades ago with one simple mission,” Maddy says. “To create and operate unique places for life’s most memorable moments. Places where people gather, celebrate, connect, and feel something special.”

Liberty House set the tone. Maddy Rose refined it.

Named after Maddy — something she still describes as “a little surreal” — the restaurant was designed to feel intimate and inviting rather than formal or staged.

“Maddy Rose is meant to feel like stepping into our home,” she explains. “The bar and dining room are communal. The energy is warm. The music is upbeat. The plates are meant to be shared. It’s a place where moments linger a little longer than planned.”

Now, that spirit flows north along the river.

In New Hope, Maddy Rose joins By Landmark’s sister properties: Logan Inn, Mansion Inn, and Hotel du Village — each one woven into the fabric of the town. Together, they represent a thoughtful collection of spaces that honor New Hope’s creative soul while elevating its hospitality scene.

“We love being part of this community,” Maddy says. “To join our sister properties here in Bucks County feels natural. Each property has its own personality, but they all share the same heart.”
