Built for George Elkins and designed by Horace Trumbauer, the architect behind Harvard’s Widener Library and Newport’s The Elms, Chelten House sits on Elkins Estate with sweeping lawns, its own pond, and a guest list that’s been very exclusive for over a century. You’re now on the list.
Chelten’s doors are opening for private celebrations for the first time in a long time. Which means the guest list that started with Philadelphia’s Gilded Age elite picks up with your list.
Your first dance in a room Trumbauer drew by hand. Cocktails on the lawn where the Elkins family held court. Up to 140 of your favorite people, close enough that the whole estate feels like it belongs to you for the weekend. With overnight accommodations on the estate, the party doesn’t end when the evening does.
