Hotel du Village Colt Ballroom

The Colt Ballroom

Up to 180 Guests · Indoor/Outdoor

Named for architect Morgan Colt, whose vision for the estate still shapes the property today, The Colt Ballroom pairs the detail and character of a French château with the scale of a traditional ballroom. Original fireplaces, ten-foot ceilings, restored hardwood floors, and views of the surrounding gardens create an elegant backdrop for all of your most important moments. Guests can transition between the ballroom and the grounds throughout the evening, gathering outdoors for cocktails and portraits before returning inside for dinner and dancing. The space accommodates up to 180 guests and includes a dedicated wedding suite with makeup stations, full-length mirrors, lounge seating, and a private bathroom for a seamless start to the day.

The Historic Ballroom

Up to 140 Guests · Indoor/Outdoor · Second Independent Ballroom

A second fully independent ballroom on the estate, The Historic Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 140 guests, opens directly onto the garden terrace, the pool, and 12 acres of château grounds. The adjoining garden pavilion feels connected to the landscape around it rather than separate from it, creating a natural setting for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing to spill beyond the ballroom walls.

The estate’s gardens, fountains, and French château architecture also provide a beautiful backdrop for portraits throughout the day, with every corner of the property offering something different to discover.

Winter Weddings at Hotel du Village

Winter has a way of making Hotel du Village feel even more like its own world. Snow settles across the estate, fireplaces glow in both ballrooms, and the grounds feel especially peaceful during the quieter months of the year. Weddings held January through March include seasonal touches such as mulled wine and warm cider upon arrival, a tomato soup and grilled cheese or fondue station during cocktail hour, hot chocolate or a donut wall for dessert, use of the estate’s antique sled for portraits, and oversized sparklers to close out the evening. Beyond the Estate

Hotel du Village is minutes from downtown New Hope, one of the most walkable and characterful small towns on the East Coast. Guests can spend the afternoon exploring local boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and the Delaware River before returning to the estate for the evening’s celebration. For those staying the weekend, the town becomes part of the experience, offering plenty to see and do between wedding events. Just down the road, Logan Inn, by Landmark’s historic sister property, has welcomed guests since 1727 and remains one of New Hope’s most popular gathering places. For friends and family arriving early, it’s an easy spot to meet for a drink, dinner, or a stroll through town before the weekend officially begins.

Getting Ready at Hotel du Village

Hotel du Village offers several private spaces for getting ready, giving the wedding party plenty of room to settle in before the celebration begins. Makeup stations, full-length mirrors, lounge seating, and private amenities create comfortable settings for hair and makeup, photos, champagne toasts, and time together before guests arrive. A fruit and cheese platter is prepared before the wedding party arrives, and with hotel rooms located just steps away, there is no need to rush from one location to the next.

REAL COUPLES. REAL WEDDINGS

Wedding Spotlight

Alexandra & Ian
Alexandra and Ian exchanged vows on the estate grounds before celebrating inside the Colt Ballroom. After dinner and dancing, guests made their way to the fire pits for s’mores, another round of drinks, and the kind of conversations that keep a wedding going well past the last song. The next morning, brunch came with plenty of stories from the night before and reminiscing on the blissful weekend at the estate.

We absolutely LOVED our wedding at Hotel Du Village!
Throughout the planning process, we worked closely with Alyssa, who took care of every detail and made the entire experience so much easier than we expected. Aside from coordinating with our outside vendors, Alyssa’s responsiveness and willingness to assist with any request was amazing.

A literal dream come true!
We highly recommend this venue to anyone and everyone. The food was incredible, even let me make a special request for our vegetarian option. And the grounds were impeccably kept and truly beautiful even during the “offseason”. And the entire staff was so warm & happy for us.
Melanie D.
The grounds are stunning for photos and overall, the venue feels very private.
Hotel du Village is a truly special place to hold a wedding. We loved that there’s the opportunity to host each part of the evening in a separate location. Our ceremony was outside, the cocktail hour was in the piano room, dinner was in the colt ballroom, and dancing was in the historic ballroom. It didn’t feel stuffy and kept people entertained throughout the entire evening.
Madeline D.
Our guests would not stop gushing about it’s charm!
You can always tell when the team that works at a venue genuinely enjoys what they do - every single person who was working there the night of our wedding genuinely cared that my husband & I enjoyed each moment and had everything we could possibly need to make the day go smoothly.

Makes you feel like you are transported to another country.
We fell in love with the grounds and natural beauty. It was amazing to have our family and close friends be able to stay right at the venue. We had the full venue which I would highly recommend. It was so special to have only family and friends there. Thank you, thank you for making the wedding of our dreams come true!
Jacqueline G.

About Hotel du Village

A Bucks County Destination, More Than a Century in the Making

In 1895, Caroline Wood selected the site for a country estate she named White Oaks, designed by architect Morgan Colt, whose name lives on in the Colt Ballroom today. Over the years, the property evolved from a private residence into a school before beginning its next chapter as Hotel du Village. Traces of that history remain throughout the estate, from the original architecture to thoughtfully restored details incorporated into the event spaces today.

In 2013, by Landmark founders Jeanne and Frank Cretella acquired the property after years of visiting the estate with their family. Their restoration focused on preserving what made the property special in the first place: the architecture, the grounds, and the character that had developed over generations. Today, Hotel du Village remains one of the most distinctive wedding destinations in the region, offering couples the opportunity to celebrate on a genuine French château estate in the heart of Bucks County.
