Forty-two acres in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, and unlike anything else in the region, Elkins Estate is home to a collection of historic mansions set across one of the most remarkable private estates on the East Coast. Elstowe Manor anchors the estate. Designed by renowned architect Horace Trumbauer for industrialist William Elkins in 1898, the mansion features hand-painted murals, soaring ceilings, sweeping staircases, and 69 guest rooms that allow you and your guests to celebrate for more than a single evening. Chelten House, an English Tudor mansion opening in Fall 2026, will introduce a second distinctive event setting to the property and expand the estate’s overnight accommodations.

With on-site ceremony options and overnight accommodations, Chelten House is designed for celebrations that feel both connected and exclusive. Debuting in Fall 2026, Chelten House is ready for the first love stories to enter its doors.

With 69 guest rooms located throughout Elstowe Manor, Elkins Estate allows family and friends to gather, celebrate, and stay together throughout the wedding weekend. Couples and guests can wake up inside the mansion, share breakfast in the dining room, wander the grounds between events, and enjoy the rare experience of having everyone they love together in one place. Rather than arriving for a few hours and heading home, friends and family remain part of the celebration from the first welcome toast to the final farewell.

For couples reserving the Ultimate Wedding Weekend, three suites are included as part of the experience. Additional guest rooms may be reserved individually or through a coordinated room block, and your Event Stylist can assist with accommodations planning.

Winter Weddings at Elkins Estate

The murals, chandeliers, fireplaces, and architectural details inside Elstowe Manor glow with warmth throughout the winter months, while Chelten House offers a more intimate experience of the estate surrounded by quiet grounds and seasonal scenery. Weddings held January through March include seasonal additions such as warm cider upon arrival, a savory cheese fondue station during cocktail hour, and oversized sparklers for the evening sendoff. For couples drawn to historic architecture and timeless surroundings, winter offers one of the most romantic seasons to celebrate at Elkins Estate.

Getting Ready at Elkins Estate

Elkins Estate offers two dedicated getting-ready spaces. The Glam Room features natural light, dedicated beauty stations, and comfortable lounge seating for hair, makeup, and wedding morning photos. The Billiard & Smoking Lounge offers a completely different atmosphere, with a billiard table and comfortable gathering spaces designed for a more relaxed start to the day. Both spaces are included with the Ultimate Wedding Weekend experience, while all wedding parties receive access beginning two hours before the celebration. When Chelten House opens in Fall 2026, it will introduce its own dedicated getting-ready spaces designed specifically for celebrations hosted within the mansion.
