Your Landmark wedding bestie, Maddy, is sharing tips, tricks and tea on all things weddings.
Weddings in 2025 are all about intentionality—every detail, every moment, every tradition is being reimagined to reflect what couples truly care about. And honestly? We love to see it.
It’s #WeddingTipWednesday, and today we’re spilling the tea on which classic traditions couples are saying goodbye to—and the modern, meaningful ideas they’re embracing instead.
💐 The Bouquet Toss? Not So Fast.
The high-pressure bouquet toss is slowly stepping aside, and couples are making room for more heartfelt alternatives. Some are opting for a private last dance instead—a quiet, intimate moment after the guests clear the room, letting the couple soak in the final few minutes of their celebration. Others are dedicating their bouquet to their mother, grandmother, or someone special as a gesture of gratitude and love. It’s thoughtful, emotional, and so much more personal.
📝 Other Traditions Being Flipped:
- Garter tosses are out; custom cocktails, late-night bites, and guest-focused experiences are in.
- Assigned seating is being replaced by more casual lounge-style receptions and mix-and-mingle formats.
- Traditional guest books are being swapped for audio booths, Polaroid walls, and keepsake wine bottles.
Couples are focusing less on what’s “supposed” to happen and more on what feels right for them. And we are here for this shift toward authenticity and creativity.
