One of the best perks of being on the west side of the Hudson River is the jaw-dropping views it offers of the glittering New York City skyline.

After all, Manhattan’s dazzling cityscape has inspired everyone from Hoboken’s own Frank Sinatra to Brooklyn-born Jay-Z to sing its praises (not to mention countless writers, artists, and filmmakers). With skyscrapers like the sleek One World Trade Center and the elegant Art Deco Empire State and Chrysler buildings reaching into the clouds, it’s got to be the most iconic city skyline in the world.

And there’s no better vantage point to take in panoramic views of the New York City skyline than Jersey City. Read on to learn why we at By Landmark have some of the best waterfront restaurants with Manhattan views that Jersey City has to offer in our collection of dining destinations, bars, and wedding and event spaces.

Felina Steak Restaurant

Situated at the end of Port Liberté in Jersey City, NJ, our modern steakhouse, Felina Steak, is located within Hudson House — just an arm’s length from the majestic Hudson River.

With clean lines and floor-to-ceiling windows, our contemporary architecture lets guests enjoy unobstructed panoramas of New York City over dinner, drinks, or weekend brunch. Not only are there breathtaking views of the NYC skyline, but of the Statue of Liberty, New York Harbor, and Brooklyn too — all the way down to the twinkling Verrazzano Bridge.

It’s a gorgeous setting to experience our modern shrine to Italian steaks, chops, and seafood. As you enter the restaurant, you can’t help but notice our dry-aging area with prime cuts of beef, and a two-tiered tank brimming with live lobster and shellfish. They’re just a preview of what’s ahead.

Kick off dinner at Felina with antipasti like our saffron arancini with sweet peas and meat ragu, or our famous Meatballs, which are made with basil and local ricotta. Or, try our stracciatella salad with watercress, prosciutto di Parma, beets, confit cherry tomatoes, and focaccia croutons.

No matter what cut of steak you prefer, we’ve got you covered with perfectly-cooked filet mignon, prime NY strip, and cowboy ribeyes. You can also go all out with a showstopping dry-aged tomahawk. Gild the lily by drizzling your steak with one of our rich sauces, like blue cheese gorgonzola, peppercorn, bordelaise, and Delmonico steak sauce. And don’t skip the decadent steakhouse sides: crispy Brussels sprouts, creamy pureed potatoes, shishito peppers, garlic-chili broccoli rabe, or decadent French fries with truffle and pecorino.

Or, opt for one of the many classic pasta and seafood options on our dinner menu. There are so many crowd-pleasing classics, from pasta alla vodka or cacio e pepe, to our hearty lasagna made with house-made pasta, three meat sauce, and 24 month-aged Parmigiano-reggiano. And you can never go wrong with pan-seared scallops, lobster fra diavolo, thyme-scented roasted branzino, or chicken Milanese.

End your night on a sweet note with a classic tiramisu or ricotta cheesecake, paired with a dessert wine from the Finger Lakes, or a Sauternes from Bordeaux.

Nove

Before or after dinner or Sunday brunch at Felina, head to the restaurant’s lively bar, Nove. Choose from an extensive wine list from Italy, France, and around the globe — or try one of our expertly-made cocktails, ranging from classic to inventive.

Best yet: each and every seat at the stylish nine-sided bar features stunning views of the Manhattan skyline.

Maddy Rose Restaurant

Admire the Statue of Liberty from a front row seat at Maddy Rose restaurant at Liberty House, on the Jersey City waterfront. Located in a prime location within Liberty Park, guests not only get a chance to get up close and personal with Lady Liberty, but they get panoramic views of Ellis Island, Liberty Landing Marina, New York Harbor, and the Manhattan skyline too.

Given the waterfront location, it only makes sense that seafood reigns supreme at Maddy Rose. The Mediterranean-inspired restaurant known for its coastal cuisine is the destination in Jersey City for ice-cold raw oysters on the half shells, crispy calamari, and seafood towers brimming with jumbo shrimp, clams, tuna crudo, and crab ceviche.

And that’s just to start: we’ve got tons of options for all-star seafood entrees too, from roasted  branzino to pan-seared salmon and tuna, and a delicious seafood risotto loaded with shrimp, mussels, calamari, and crab.

Maddy Rose is open for lunch and weekend brunch too. The lunchtime menu features light and bright mid-day meals like crab cake sandwiches with spicy mayo and pineapple salsa, and Cobb, Caesar, or Greek salads topped with succulent grilled shrimp.

Weekend brunch is the perfect time to relax with family, friends, or your significant other while enjoying  eggs Benedict with crab meat, or smoked salmon with crispy pita, scallion cream cheese, and all the fixins’. (Maddy Rose’s weekend special is a great deal, if we do say so ourselves: choose a brunch appetizer, entree, side, and two classic brunch cocktails like mimosas, bellinis, bloody Marys, or screwdrivers for $65).

Speaking of everyone’s favorite brunch cocktail: our Bloody Mary cart is a fun way to customize your brunch cocktail: start by choosing your own spirit (vodka is just one option), and select from a wide array of garnishes, flavorful salt and spice blends to rim the glass, and other tasty add-ons.

When the weather is nice, there’s no better place to enjoy the combination of tasty seafood, amazing cocktails, and incredible views than our outdoor cabanas or patio, which are surrounded by lush gardens and the sweeping green lawns of Liberty State Park.

Stork Club Rooftop Bar & Lounge

Perched high up at the top of Hudson House is Stork Club rooftop bar and lounge — the perfect spot to kick off a fantastic evening, or to end one with a nightcap.

Order a glass of Champagne or rosé, beer, or a house cocktail like the Rooftop Crusta — made with a 5-year aged Armagnac, Cointreau, Maraschino, demerara, and topped with a sugar crust. Or, try one of our large-format bottled cocktails for a crowd: we’ve got classic drinks like the negroni, dirty martini, Manhattan, and vespa that are designed for sharing.

There’s no better place to make an evening memorable than the Stork Club’s rooftop with unbeatable views of the Hudson River, Lady Liberty, and the twinkling NYC skyline.
