Grand Ballroom

325 Guest Capacity · Indoor/Outdoor Ceremony

The Grand Ballroom is Liberty House’s signature event space, with sweeping views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the Manhattan skyline. A dedicated cocktail room, outdoor patio, and ceremony garden allow the celebration to take advantage of the property’s waterfront setting from beginning to end. Whether guests are gathered indoors beneath soaring ceilings or outside overlooking New York Harbor, the view remains a defining part of the experience. The Grand Ballroom accommodates up to 325 guests for ceremonies and receptions.

The Liberty Room offers a more intimate setting while maintaining everything that makes Liberty House unique. Accommodating up to 150 guests, the space includes its own entrance, cocktail hour space, ceremony location, and access to the outdoor patio and gardens. The scale feels especially well suited to couples planning a smaller celebration, while still offering panoramic views of the harbor, skyline, and Statue of Liberty.

Liberty House Ceremony Gardens

The Ceremony Gardens

Outdoor Ceremony · Cocktail Hour · Portraits

Set within Liberty State Park, the ceremony gardens place some of the region’s most recognizable landmarks at the center of the celebration. The Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Liberty Landing Marina, and the Manhattan skyline all sit within view, creating a backdrop that needs very little added to it. Say “I do” surrounded by lush gardens, use the expansive grounds for portraits and cocktail hour, and enjoy serene waterfront views of the skyline just beyond.

Winter Weddings at Liberty House

In winter, the Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty stand out against the crisp evening air, while candlelit tables add warmth throughout the celebration. Weddings held January through March include seasonal additions such as mulled wine and warm cider upon arrival, your choice of a cheese fondue station or homemade tomato soup and artisanal grilled cheese during cocktail hour, and either s’mores by the fire pits or hot chocolate with warm sugar donuts, depending on your event space. Oversized sparklers are also included for the evening sendoff. For couples with flexible dates, winter offers the opportunity to experience Liberty House during one of its most romantic seasons.

Intimate Celebrations

at Liberty House

For smaller gatherings, Liberty House offers two dedicated spaces designed for rehearsal dinners, micro-weddings, private receptions, and wedding weekend events. The Gallery accommodates up to 32 guests, while The Patio hosts up to 65 guests in an outdoor setting overlooking New York Harbor. Nathan’s Patio

PRIVATE AFTER-PARTY · OUTDOOR

The celebration doesn’t have to end when the reception does. Nathan’s Patio is Liberty House’s signature after-party experience, where guests who aren’t quite ready to call it a night gather outdoors beneath the city lights, with the Manhattan skyline glowing across the water. Fire pits, late-night bites, drinks, and open-air seating create a more relaxed atmosphere for up to 75 guests, giving everyone a chance to keep celebrating together a little longer. Set within Liberty State Park, it’s the kind of ending to the night that few other venues can offer.

Liberty House offers a dedicated Wedding Nook reserved exclusively for the wedding party on the day of the celebration. Filled with natural light and thoughtfully designed for those final moments before the ceremony, it provides a private space for finishing touches, photos, and a chance to enjoy the anticipation before the festivities begin.

City Lights & Harbor Views
Demi and Michael welcomed guests to Liberty House for an evening reception along the waterfront. As the celebration unfolded, guests gathered throughout the property while the city lights came on across the harbor, creating a different backdrop with every hour. The views may have drawn everyone in, but it was the time spent together that defined the evening.

About Liberty House

Where the by Landmark Story Began

Liberty House was the first venue in the by Landmark collection. When Jeanne and Frank Cretella opened the property in August 2001, they saw an opportunity to create something unlike anything else on the waterfront. Frank first discovered the site while attending a concert in Liberty State Park. What many saw as an abandoned steel structure, he saw as a venue with one of the most remarkable views in the region. More than two decades later, Liberty House remains at the center of the by Landmark story. The property has welcomed presidents, entertainers, athletes, and public figures, hosted national television productions and major events, and celebrated thousands of weddings overlooking New York Harbor. Through it all, the view has remained the same: the Statue of Liberty, the Manhattan skyline, and the harbor that connects them. Today, Liberty House continues to set the standard for the hospitality, service, and attention to detail that define every by Landmark venue.
