The property of Hotel du Village has long been part of the rich tapestry of Bucks County, passed between many significant families of the region before Caroline Wood gained rights to it and named it White Oaks. Morgan Colt was the architect for the building, lending his vision and name to what is now our Colt Ballroom. The building went on to become an all-girls school, eventually joining a preparatory school for boys as the campus evolved.

Frank and Jeanne Cretella of byLandmark spent summers staying at Hotel du Village with their family and felt a deep connection to the property from the start. They had long dreamed of owning a place as special as this, one that blended history, hospitality, and heart. In 2013, their dream became reality as they purchased this beautiful historic estate and transformed it into a beloved destination for weddings, celebrations, and corporate retreats.

Much of Hotel du Village’s original woodwork has been restored and incorporated into its renovated design. The old restaurant flooring has been thoughtfully repurposed into the high chapel ceilings of the Historic Ballroom’s pre-function space and bar area. The restaurant, which is now our Historic Ballroom, resides within White Oaks, formerly the setting for the academic and social preparation of young ladies.

Today, Hotel du Village is the most extraordinary destination wedding venue in New Hope, PA, a genuine French chateau on 12 acres in Bucks County, with 29 on-site hotel rooms, two independent ballrooms, a pool, a tennis court, and grounds that feel genuinely transported.
