Winter Weddings

A winter wedding at Farmhouse is a truly enchanting experience, where historic charm and seasonal magic come together in the most romantic way. As snow settles across the grounds and the fireplaces crackle and glow, the property’s historic character and cozy atmosphere create an intimate and inviting setting. From January through March, couples receive a collection of complimentary seasonal enhancements designed to embrace the warmth and charm of a winter celebration.

Guests are welcomed with warm cider before the ceremony, followed by comforting cocktail hour offerings such as savory fondue with artisanal breads and vegetables, homemade tomato soup with grilled cheese, and seasonal sweet treats. The evening concludes with a sparkling sendoff, a festive and memorable way to end your big day.

Getting Ready at Farmhouse

Farmhouse has four dedicated getting-ready suites across both event spaces, with two suites assigned to each event space so that both sides of the wedding party have a private space to settle in before the celebration begins. Natural light, lounge seating, and snacks and champagne are prepared before anyone arrives, creating a comfortable place for hair, makeup, photos, and quiet moments throughout the morning. Because each event space has its own suites, couples never have to share hallways, timelines, or preparation spaces with another wedding.

REAL COUPLES. REAL WEDDINGS

Wedding Spotlight

The Silo felt less like a venue and more like the center of a celebration that brought everyone together.
Samantha and Jonathan were married on the Farmhouse grounds before celebrating inside The Silo with the people who mattered most to them. The evening unfolded exactly as they had hoped: a grand entrance on the mezzanine, guests lingering over cocktails and conversation around the outdoor fire pits, and a dance floor that was never empty.

About Farmhouse

Three Centuries in Hampton, New Jersey

Farmhouse was built in 1685 by master craftsmen, making it the oldest known building in Hampton and one of the oldest continuously celebrated properties in New Jersey. The original stone fireplaces are not a design choice; they were constructed using stones carried across the Atlantic Ocean as ballast on European ships, and they have stood in this exact location for 340 years. The grounds include a 19th-century Schoolhouse and the Kissing Tree, a landmark that has been part of the estate for generations.

In December 2018, by Landmark began a thoughtful restoration of the property, preserving its historic character while enhancing it for modern celebrations. A dramatic floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace was added to the Ballroom, and the estate’s historic details were carefully restored throughout. Most recently, the Cretella family added The Silo, assembled piece by piece from an authentic Pennsylvania barn and rebuilt on-site with handcrafted blacksmith railings, soaring iron chandeliers, and a two-story brick fireplace.

Farmhouse today is the same property it has always been, with everything that makes it singular intact.
