Where Nature Sets The Scene in Warren, NJ

Stone House at Stirling Ridge is New Jersey’s only Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired wedding venue, where stone, steel, wood, and glass come together on 10 acres in the Watchung Mountains. Inspired by Wright’s signature approach to architecture, the property was designed to feel connected to the landscape, with mountain views, gardens, patios, and winding stone pathways woven throughout. The Grand Ballroom and The Lodge each offer a distinct setting, complemented by a culinary program led by Chef David Drake, ingredients grown on the property’s organic farm, and the exclusivity of hosting only one wedding at a time in each space. Stone House welcomes celebrations ranging from intimate gatherings to 325 guests.
Stone House Grand Ballroom

The Grand Ballroom

325 Guest capacity · Indoor/Outdoor Ceremony

The Grand Ballroom is Stone House’s largest event space, with 16-foot ceilings, glass walls, and direct access to the terraces just outside the doors. Inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s approach to architecture, the room was designed to feel connected to the landscape around it, framing views of the Watchung Mountains from nearly every angle. Natural light fills the space throughout the day, while the surrounding scenery becomes part of the backdrop for dinner, dancing, and every moment in between. The Grand Ballroom accommodates up to 325 guests for ceremonies and receptions.

The Lodge

170 guest capacity · indoor/outdoor ceremony

Inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s organic-yet-structural approach to design, The Lodge combines mid-century modern influences with industrial materials, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, wrought-iron chandeliers, and a 20-foot stone fireplace that anchors the room. Slate and wood floors, brick walls, and an angled ceiling add to its distinctive character, while the patio just outside the doors extends the experience outdoors with mountain views, fire pits, and space for guests to gather around s’mores later in the evening. Accommodating up to 170 guests, The Lodge is well suited to couples looking for a space with plenty of personality.

The Grounds & Gardens

10 Acres · Outdoor Ceremony Space · cocktail hour · portraits

The grounds at Stone House stretch across 10 acres in the Watchung Mountains, with landscaped gardens, an expansive patio, a fountain, an oversized outdoor chess board, bocce courts, and our organic Dancing Goat Farm. Couples use the grounds for outdoor ceremonies, cocktail hours, portraits, and quiet moments away from the dance floor throughout the evening. The farm is more than part of the scenery: herbs, vegetables, and other ingredients grown just steps from the event spaces are incorporated into reception menus, connecting the property to the culinary experience in a way few venues can.

Stone House has dedicated getting-ready suites for each event space, giving both sides of the wedding party a private place to spend the morning. Natural light, comfortable lounge areas, and plenty of room for hair, makeup, photos, and time together make the suites feel like part of the celebration rather than a stop before it. Snacks and sips are prepared before the wedding party arrives, allowing everyone to settle in and enjoy the excitement of the day from the moment they walk through the door.

REAL COUPLES. REAL WEDDINGS

Wedding Spotlight

A wedding at Stone House is always magical, and this celebration was no exception.
Christine and Andrew chose Stone House for its distinctive architecture and mountain setting, and their wedding made the most of both. Guests enjoyed time outdoors throughout the evening, the reception brought everyone together inside one of the property’s signature event spaces, and the celebration ended the way many Stone House weddings do: gathered around the fire pits with s’mores and one last chance to spend time together.

I had my eye on Stone House for a while, but once we visited and saw their Lodge space, it was an instant yes. The room has the perfect combination of a modern feel that still has a cozy charm to it. The fireplace as a focal point for our ceremony was BEAUTIFUL.

About Stone House

Rooted in the Watchung Mountains

Stone House has been welcoming guests to the Watchung Mountains for decades. Originally home to the Chanticler Chateau, the property was reimagined by by Landmark founders Jeanne and Frank Cretella in 2007, drawing inspiration from Frank Lloyd Wright’s use of natural materials, clean lines, and architecture that feels connected to its surroundings. The Grand Ballroom emerged from that transformation, followed by The Lodge in 2017, which introduced a second event space anchored by a dramatic stone fireplace and soaring ceilings. The same expansion brought the Dancing Goat Farm to the property, supplying ingredients directly to the kitchen and establishing the farm-to-table philosophy that remains central to Stone House today. A future boutique hotel will allow couples and guests to stay on the property and enjoy even more of what the grounds have to offer.
